Imagine a world without freedom on the internet. I wouldn’t be able to use the internet like it was intended to be used for. Basically two bills called SOPA and PIPA are trying enforce higher authorities, such as the US Attorney General, that would allow the government to manually shut down websites. Though piracy and copyright infringements on the internet (illegal downloading, use of copy written information, etc) are banned, these corporate businesses (Disney, Paramount Pictures, Capitol Records, Viacom, etc) want to take it to the next level. Monitoring how we as people use our freedom of posting freely on to the web world, such as twitter, wordpress, blogspot, tumblr, etc would also be applied. It would also effect small websites and brands, like us, and make things much more complicated to provide what we are trying to elaborate as a business since the internet is a major tool of our generation. Like using social information on Wikipedia or posting a Youtube video with a unauthorized MP3 song playing in the background, therefore we would get sited. So today you will be seeing some of your favorite websites that are Blacked Out. What is the internet without freedom any ways? Will it be controlled on what we will be able to read and see?
